VON BARGEN Robert J. Von Bargen loving husband of the late Nancy Von Bargen, devoted father of Lori Von Bargen Reed, Scott Von Bargen and Lisa Von Bargen, grandfather of Carder Reed and Leo Von Bargen. He passed away with family by his side on April 21, 2011 at the age of 77. Along with serving in the US Army, Bob was a Board of Trustees member for Cincinnati Scottish Rite, Adjunct Professor at The University of Cincinnati for 32 years, prior Director of the Cincinnati Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He served on the Hamilton County Rural Zoning Committee, Montgomery planning council and Cincinnati Real Estate Board. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati Business College and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. One of the first real estate appraisers in Cincinnati to earn his MAI designation in the 1970's. Owned & Operated Robert Von Bargen Real Estate - a development, property management and commercial real estate appraisal company for 40 years. Real estate was his passion in life and his work in the field positively impacted the lives of so many people. He will be greatly missed. Memorial gathering Sunday May 1st from 2:00pm until time of funeral service at 3:30pm at Mihovk-Rosenacker funeral home 10211 Plainfield Rd. (on the grounds of Rest Haven Memorial Park.) A memorial celebration will be held following the service in the community room.
