Obituary

GARDNER

Emery Melvin Gardner 91 of Madeira died Monday, April 18, 2011.  A veteran of WWII, he served under General Patton in the 9th Armored Division in Europe. He was a longtime member of Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his son, Dwight (Mary) Gardner, grandsons Bryan and Kevin, sister Marcella Beckman, brothers Clyde and Vernon, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Wanda Gardner, infant daughter Diane, his parents, Holly and Edna Gardner, and one sister, Vivian Van Hook. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20th from 6-8PM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home 10211 Plainfield Rd.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 21st at 10:30AM at Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church 6312 Kennedy Ave. followed by graveside service at Rest Haven Cemetery.
